         De doelstelling is als volgt:

         1 partij, de SI-VM, is verantwoordelijk voor de IV (informatievoorziening) keten verkeersmanagement. De SI-VM garandeert te allen tijde de operationele end-to-end dienstverlening. Wat vandaag werkt, moet morgen ook nog werken.

         Binnen de verantwoordelijkheid van de operationele end-to-end dienstverlening draagt de SI-VM zorg voor de werking en het beheer en onderhoud van:

         — de applicaties binnen het verkeersmanagement domein,

         — de bedienwerkplek binnen het verkeersmanagement domein..

         Voor het beheer en onderhoud van de applicaties en de bedienwerkplek is het doel een kostenefficiënte dienstverlening voor het beheer en onderhoud.
