         De groenstroken langs de metrosporen in Amsterdam zijn onderhevig aan het groeien van allerhande planten, struiken bomen, gras, onkruid en dergelijke zowel binnen als buiten de hekken. Dit kan voorkómen worden door het ballastbed, grindbed en de inspectiepaden te behandelen, en groenassets te maaien c.q. te snoeien en hekken "vrij te stellen" van groen. Om het onkruid te bestrijden en de vorming ervan te bemoeilijken vindt twee tot drie maal per jaar een structurele onkruidbestrijdingsronde plaats. Daarnaast vinden twee tot drie maal per jaar ook structurele snoei- & maairondes plaats en structurele rondes gedurende het jaar voor "correctieve" werkzaamheden.

         Het werk bestaat in hoofdzaak uit groenbeheersing van de volgende assets:

         • Tussen de GVB hekken: spoorbaan (vnl. ballastbaan) en inspectiepaden, grindbedden tussen de sporen, groen (grasstroken, beplanting en bomen naast de sporen), vrijstellen van hekwerken.

         • Buiten de GVB hekken: Opgangen / trappen / nooduitgangen van en naar de metrobaan.

         • Schouwen en Rapporteren aan de directie.

         • Regiewerk op afroep: Rooien van bomen, Herstel van inspectiepaden, Het vrijstellen van beplan-tingsstrook aan de andere kant van het metrohek, Ad hoc ingrepen aan de groenassets zoals uit-zichthoeken vrijstellen en verwijderen overhangend groen (voorzover dat niet via gepland onder-houd kan worden uitgevoerd).
