         Het onderwerp van deze Europese aanbesteding is het selecteren van 1 opdrachtnemer voor levering van storage- en serverapparatuur en daarbij behorende specifieke (storage)software, inclusief support. Deze leverancier moet tevens advies- en beheerdiensten en managed services kunnen leveren. De advies-, beheerdiensten en managed services zijn optioneel af te nemen door de deelnemende UMC"s (zijnde het Academisch Medisch Centrum (AMC), het Erasmus Medisch Centrum (UMCR), het Leids Universitair Medisch Centrum (LUMC), het Universitair Medisch Centrum Groningen (UMCG), het Universitair Medisch Centrum Utrecht (UMCU), het Maastricht Universitair Medisch Centrum (MUMC+) en het VU Medisch Centrum (VUmc).

         Daarnaast moet de opdrachtnemer in staat zijn Clouddiensten te leveren op het gebied van storage en computing. Afhankelijk van de sensitiviteit van de gegevens moeten de UMC"s daarbij kunnen kiezen voor een on-premise, off-premise of een hybride oplossing.
