         De Centrale Bedien Applicatie (CBA) is een applicatie die draait in alle 5 regionale verkeerscentrales (VC"s). Het biedt de wegverkeersleider de mogelijkheid camera"s bij spits- en plusstroken (kortweg vaak spitsstroken genoemd) zichtbaar te maken op de videowand ten einde deze rijstroken te controleren (schouwen) op aanwezigheid van voorwerpen of stilstaande voertuigen voordat ze worden opengesteld.

         De module CVA is onderdeel van het CBA en betreft de aansturing van een deel van de openbare verlichting (OV) in het bediengebied. De wegverkeersleider kan hiermee de OV aan en uitschakelen.

         Het systeem is specifiek bedoeld voor het bedienen van de camera"s naar aanleiding van meldingen en triggers uit andere systemen. Vooral bij het schouwproces bij openen en vrijmaken van spitsstroken is de bediening van camera"s een "must". Daarnaast kunnen camera"s bediend worden ten behoeve van stilstand-detectie bij incidenten en pechgevallen in de vluchthavens.
