        Het Centrum tot bevordering van de import uit ontwikkelingslanden (CBI), is een onderdeel van de Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland (RVO.nl) van het ministerie van Economische Zaken.

        Het CBI bevordert de economische ontwikkeling van ontwikkelingslanden door hun economische concurrentiepositie te versterken.

        CBI ondersteunt momenteel 14 deelnemende bedrijven, in en rond Caïro. Deze bedrijven zijn werkzaam in de metaalverwerkende industrie, industriële machines, elektriciteit en elektronica en in de automotive.

        De werkzaamheden voor de in te huren expert(s) variëren.

        Sommige werkzaamheden zijn lange termijn activiteiten die op afstand kunnen worden uitgevoerd, maar ook korte termijn trainingsmissies of ondersteuning voor een beurzenparticipatie.
