         De gemeenten Duiven en Westervoort gaan per 1.1.2018 ambtelijk fuseren, dan komt er een Gemeenschappelijk Regeling bij. De gemeente Rijnwaarden en Zevenaar vormen per 1.1.2018 de nieuwe gemeente Zevenaar. De voorbereidingen voor deze fusies zijn gestart. Onderdeel van deze fusies is het consolideren van een aantal kernapplicaties. Zo worden ook de financiële applicaties geconsolideerd.

         De gemeenten en Gemeenschappelijke Regeling Samenwerking de Liemers hebben gezamenlijk besloten om 1 nieuwe financiële applicatie aan te schaffen en te gebruiken voor alle organisaties. De beheerorganisatie RID zal het technische beheer van deze financiële applicatie op zich nemen. Over de inrichting van het functioneel beheer wordt nog nagedacht. De huidige situatie is dat het functioneel beheer van de financiële applicaties bij de organisaties zelf is ondergebracht.
