         Rijkswaterstaat Centrale Informatievoorziening (RWS CIV) is verantwoordelijk voor de inwinning, verwerking en ontsluiting van de kwaliteitskenmerken van het wegoppervlak. Het betreft de kenmerken stroefheid, vlakheid en oppervlakteschade. De aan te besteden opdracht in het kader van de Meerjarenplanning Verhardingen (MJPV) betreft de jaarlijkse inwinning van de kwaliteitskenmerken vlakheid en oppervlakteschade met behulp van een meetvoertuig op alle rijstroken van het nationale rijkswegennetwerk voor een periode van minimaal 5 jaar met aanvang in 2019. Het totaal aantal rijstrookkilometers bedraagt jaarlijks ongeveer 15 000 km.

         Mede naar aanleiding van het verlies van de meetvoertuigen door een brand in 2017 kiest RWS CIV nu voor de inzet van marktpartijen voor de inwinning van de kwaliteitskenmerken vlakheid en oppervlakteschade inclusief de inzet van hun meetvoertuigen.
