         Met de realisatie van een grote ondergrondse fietsenstalling aan de noordzijde van het station wordt een grote impuls gegeven aan de kwantitatieve en kwalitatieve behoefte aan fietsparkeren in de Spoorzone Zwolle. Wanneer deze nieuwe voorziening is gerealiseerd wordt aan de grote groep fietsende reizigers een capaciteit geboden van 4 800 plaatsen. Hiermee wordt een grote stap gezet in de voorziene behoefte van 12 000 plaatsen totaal in 2030, en kan de ruimtelijke kwaliteit van het gebied aanzienlijk worden verbeterd. De stalling wordt voorbereid op een mogelijke uitbreiding. De stalling komt op een optimale locatie voor de reiziger, vlak voor het stationsgebouw. De toegangen zijn logisch gesitueerd ten opzichte van de grote fietsstromen.
